Guess why we all come to Taiwan?
Study actually, in the area of engineering. We have more people in Europe and America.
Coming to Taiwan was a result of our relationship with Taiwan before.
So many people started to notice about Taiwan and started coming here as students, not on any other purposes.
I just took up the study and I feel like, within that period, I can explore Asia.
I can also be benefited by Chinese culture and be able to get education.
In my country we don’t have so many beaches like Taiwan, we only have a small beach.
I like going to the beach during the weekends, having BBQ there, drinking, having fun.
Here in Taiwan, the nature is different.
It’s a little bit polluted, but everything is beautiful surrounding you.
The first reason is studying, the second reason I come to Taiwan is because of museums.
Especially the National Palace Museum, I learned a lot of Chinese 5,000 years old history.
I really wanted to learn traditional Chinese, so that’s the reason why I first came here.
Now I came back to Taiwan to study GMBA program.
And recently there was a typhoon and I was stuck with my scooter.
So I decided to stop at a Family Mart, the boss of the Family Mart proposed to bring me back home.
So he drove me back and I feel like, wow, this is so impressive because in my home country, I don’t think this kind of thing could happen.
Not only my master’s degree, I want to get it on the other side of the world.
Taiwan is very convenient for studying, the price is not too high and people are very very friendly.
To get my MBA degree, which is very essential for me.
I’m trying to learn some Chinese, so I will learn basic Chinese...at least.
In a few years or maybe in 5 years, Chinese is gonna be the most important language around the world.
For example in Panama, we have Panama Canal, most of the ships that passed through Panama came Asia.
And most of the countries in Asia, they are using Chinese as their first language.
I came to study a semester’s Chinese class in 2011.
After coming here for 2 months, I met my Taiwanese boyfriend.
So after a semester, I was supposed to go home, right?
My dad said if I went back to Denmark to study, then I’d be just like everyone else.
But if you study in Taiwan, you will be differeny. So whilde you are studying in Taiwan, you can also spend time with your boyfriend, I think this is better.
