元宵放天燈，緩緩上升好浪漫？老外：會害動物吃到天燈殘骸、釀成森林大火

編按：「放天燈」是元宵節應景的活動之一，許多國內外觀光客都慕名而來，也因此成為平溪十分等地觀光收入來源。然而美麗天燈背後卻帶來火災、環境破壞等許多問題...關於「天燈」老外怎麼看？其他國家對天燈又有什麼限制？

1.法國

Actually I went with my friends to Shifen to light the lantern.
我跟我朋友去十分點天燈

Because I believe that’s a cultural thing here and I wanted to try it.
聽說放天燈是個傳統活動，所以我想試試

（你覺得那些天燈後來去哪？）

They just became garbage.
它們變成垃圾

2.澳洲

And the whole experience. It was really nice and magical.
放天燈的經驗既神奇又很棒

（但你知道這些天燈升完空之後去哪了嗎？）

We actually we did think about it where we were there.
我們其實我想過這問題

And it was really quite depressing.
其實有點讓人沮喪

Because what goes on, must come down.
因為它們最後都會掉下來

And actually in Australia, buying sky lanterns is illegal.
其實在澳洲買天燈是非法的

(Why?)

Because it possesses a huge risk to bush fires.
因為天燈很可能造成森林大火

3.拉脫維亞

So in Latvia we also have sky lanterns, but we only light them on special occasions.
在拉脫維亞也有天燈，但我們都在特別慶典才會放

But when I came to Taiwan, me and my friends we went to Shifen.
但當我來台灣，我跟我朋友一起去十分

It was just something nice to do, it was beautiful and...
在那邊放天燈很美

They come down back to Earth.
掉回地球表面

(And then?)
（然後呢？）

And then probably...trash?
然後就變......垃圾？

4.美國

We had some friends who had gone before and I saw their pictures.
我有看到一些朋友去放天燈的照片

And I also knew that this was a special thing the town did and I really wanted to take part in that.
我知道在那邊放天燈很有名，所以我也想試試看

(Do you know where those lanterns go? After?)
（你知道那些天燈後來的下場嗎？）

I know they come back to Earth and actually I think someone told us.
我知道他們最後都掉下來，其實有朋友跟我講

The town’s people, if they help collect them, they can get some garbage bags or something as a reward for help cleaning them up.
聽說當地居民如果可以幫忙撿天燈殘骸，好像可以得到免費垃圾袋（編按：新北市環保局資訊）

Fact, in certain states in the U.S. sky lanterns are banned.
天燈在美國的好幾州是被禁止的

Because they are known to cause wild fires and also have burned some humans
因為天燈容易造成森林大火，也燒傷過人

and some animals have died while eating them.
有些動物因為吃了天燈殘骸死掉
