「中肯」的英文怎麼說？Hit the road不是去打馬路⋯13種hit用法

hit 這個單字大家都知道是「打」的意思，但相關的片語你都知道意思嗎？是時候該擺脫直譯英文了！

今天 VoiceTube 整理出所有 hit 的相關片語，每個片語的意思都跟「打」沒有關係，快學起來就不會鬧笑話了！

hit on someone 勾搭

我們很常說的「追人」、「把妹」、「泡妞」的英文可以用 hit on + someone 表示，也就是像某人採取追求行動的意思。

1.My friend is mad at me because I am hitting on her ex-boyfriend.（我朋友很生氣我勾搭上她的前男友。）
2.Mary never realizes when boys are hitting on her.（瑪莉總是渾然不知有哪些男生在追她。）

hit on/hit upon something 忽然想出

而 hit on 後面如果是 + something，則是「忽然想出」的意思，可以用來形容靈機一動的辦法或想法。

He hit on an idea that would be the perfect birthday surprise.（他靈機一動，想出了完美的生日派對驚喜計畫。）

hit the road 上路

這是一句很實用的片語！當有人跟你說 「hit the road」 時，不是要你打馬路，而是想表達「上路」、「出發」的意思。

You’d better hit the road right now if you want to be there on time.（如果你想準時抵達的話，你最好現在就上路。）

hit the sack 就寢

這個片語是就寢的意思，也有人會說 「hit the hay」，意思是一樣的。

Louis was so tired that he hit the sack soon after supper.（路易斯太累了，所以吃過晚飯就早早上床睡覺了。）

hit the nail on the head 說得中肯

這句諺語是用來形容說得中肯、一針見血的意思，讓我們從下面這部影片來看看如何運用在對話之中：

hit the jackpot 獲得頭獎

相信大家都希望能中頭獎、發大財！那你知道「中大獎」或「走好運」的英文要怎麼表達嗎？就是 hit the jackpot！jackpot 的意思是「首獎」、「頭彩」。

Sally is the perfect girl for me. I’ve hit the jackpot in life by being with her.（莎莉是我的真命天女，能跟她在一起真的是我一生中最大的福氣。）

hit it off 合得來

不要再亂翻成「打」了！這個片語是合得來、一拍即合的意思。

We all thought the two of you would hit it off well.（我們都認為你們倆會相處得愉快。）

hit the bottle 酗酒

酒鬼的英文是 alcoholic ，而「酗酒」這個動詞的英文可以用 hit the bottle 表示。

He started to hit the bottle to relieve stress.（他開始酗酒來抒解壓力。）

hit the light 開燈

這個片語可以有兩個意思，第一個是字面上的「撞到電燈」，而第二個較口語的是「開燈」的意思。

hit a bar/hit some club 上夜店

我們中文常說「上夜店」這種較口語化的動詞在英文可以用 hit a bar（酒吧）或是 hit some club（夜店）來表達，也就是 「going to a bar」 的意思。且要注意不是 hit a club 因為 club 也有「球棒」的意思，所以如果說 「hit a club」 很容易被誤會是揮打球棒。

hit it big 成功了

這句話是「成功了」的英文俚語。

hit the books 用功

別以為是把書都打爛銷毀！這個片語其實是用功的意思。

I got an exam tomorrow, so I got to hit the books tonight.（我明天有個考試，所以今晚我要念書。）

hit the roof/hit the ceiling 勃然大怒

不滿到一個極點的時候可以用 hit the ceiling 或 hit the roof 表示自己的忍耐極限已經到了！

My dad would hit the roof if he knew that I wrecked his car.（如果我爸發現我毀了他的愛車，他一定會抓狂。）
