My first class in Taiwan, I saw a girl who was sitting in the front row, eating instant noodles.
The professor was standing right in front of us.
In China, students usually won’t really have the impudence to do this.
There are a lot of security measures. For example every bathroom, every stall has a red button.
When emergency occurs, you can press the red button immediately.
Buses have emergency exits too.
Our buses only have sky windows or emergency hammers, there are no emergency exits.
When I first got here, I was shocked by the fact that people would drink the soup base from hot pot.
Now I’m used to it!
It’s troublesome to ask for leave in China.
You have to talk to an assistant first, if something happens at home then you family has to call the assistant.
In Taiwan, the process of asking for leave seems a bit easier.
Students can send e-mail or message to their teachers the day before and explain why they will be absent the next day.
Teachers usually will grant it.
