全民英檢到底能不能測出個人的英文實力呢？不要鬧工作室特地找來美國英文老師Doug、加拿大學生Anthony和來自澳洲旅館業的Dave來做測試，讓他們親口用他們的成積和體驗告訴你們，英檢到底測出來的結果能不能當參考......

我是Doug，今天來考「全民英檢」高級版（只測閱讀），簡稱GEPT

1.加拿大學生

今天我被逼著來考試
Today I am forced to do a test.

為什麼閱讀的部份沒有圖片看？
So I was wondering why the test didn’t have any pictures?

這考試真的很無聊
Oh man this test was so boring!

2.澳洲旅館業

我不是英文老師，我來自澳洲！現在要來寫英檢
Not an English teacher. I’m from Australia, and I’m about to take this test.

3.英文老師

我需要更多禪的力量，好讓我可以順利考完
So I need to get more Zen before I can finish it.

考完後我覺得很沮喪，都要死了...
I feel like sad and dead inside after taking it.

我猜出題的人應該也希望自己的工作不是這個
Even the people that write the test, I think like, they wish they had a different job because

其中一篇文章是關於找香水的故事，寫得好像是動作小說一樣，叫「香水狩獵者」
one of the article was about perfume and how people find perfume. It was written like an action novel, like “Perfume Hunters”.

我覺得出這些題目的很可憐，但是要考這些考試的你們也很可憐
God I even feel bad for the people that make the test and for you guys who gotta take the test.

2.英文老師：40題對了37題

我錯了三題，很多答案其實很主觀
So I only got 3 wrong. Some of the answers were really subjective.

我錯的第一題是「哪一點關於這三本書是對的？」我的答案沒有錯
The first one I got wrong was “What is ture of all three books?” and I said something that is true.

但我的答案並不是官方提供的那個答案
But it’s not the thing that the test said it was true.

It was long.

我16歲就休學不唸了
To be honest, I left school when I was 16.

一直都不是很喜歡考試制度
Didn’t really like the whole testing out kind of thing.

我想我高中沒畢業也沒影響我考英檢
I think I made the right choice leaving school early.
